Unfortunately, with all of the horrible weather recently, I was forced, as some of you may have been, to reschedule several sessions. On the bright side, it gave me time to catch up on some of my research during which I came across the new software release I talk about in this week's Technology Bit.

Have an iPad or iPhone? If not you should definitely consider the growing list of benefits of having one aside from the obvious that it is a light weight, robust platform to access and manage e-mail and allows you to create and edit business documents. Some of these additional benefits are the ability to upload your images from a shoot on location to the iPad and use it as a secondary storage backup, it is a beautiful platform to display your portfolio to potential clients and you can access your network files and other programs that can increase efficiency to name but a few.
If you already own one, you might want to check out Adobe's Photoshop Express for iPhone and iPad. While making any edits on the iPhone is a bit more cumbersome, these basic modifications on the iPad are much easier to accomplish. Some of the features include:
- Crop, rotate, change color with just a touch
- Give an extra glow with Soft Focus
- Create unique designs using Sketch
- Apply one-touch effects like Warm Vintage and Vignette
You can currently get Adobe's Photoshop Express for FREE by simply searching the Apps store for it. The app is also available on the Android phones as well.
If you don't own one already, just know that both the iPhone and iPad come in several different models. You can see all of the different models and pricing on Apple's website. On a side note, if you purchase any apple products, be sure to tell them you are a "business" which makes you eligible for a 5% discount on some products (sorry, not the iPad) but it does include most other items.
