So Caroline and I were driving back home from a recent photography session and I look over in a small field and what do I see but this 8-Point buck grazing. So having my gear in hand, we pull over and I get out and begin walking and taking pictures as I move slowly closer to the buck. As I reached about the half way point, the buck turns his head and looks at me and I stop. The buck returns to grazing and as I move again his head pops up and he stares again. After doing this one more time, the buck turned and took two steps directly toward me as if to say "ENOUGH ALREADY" which told me the prudent next move on my part was a hasty retreat back to the safety of my car.
