Local Photographer Earns Photographic Craftsman Degree

Burlington — Randy Brogen of Brogen Photography in Burlington has earned the Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). 

The degree was presented to Brogen by PPA President Ralph Romaguera, at the association's annual convention, Imaging USA, held in Phoenix, AZ. PPA, a worldwide association, exists to assist its more than 28,000 members in achieving their professional, artistic and fraternal goals; promote public awareness of the profession; and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science, and a visual recorder of history. 

This degree means Brogen has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded the Photographic Craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author, photographer, and mentor. This degree and all the expertise it requires illustrates Brogen’s accomplishments and talent as one of a select few. 

Brogen, a PPA Certified Professional Photographer (CPP), one of only 43 in MA, owns Brogen Photography Studio in Burlington with his wife Caroline Brogen. Their studio business consists of thee award-winning divisions (Portraits, Sports & Training). In their portrait division, they photograph executive, family, high school senior, children, first communion portraits, as well as commercial photography. Brogen’s sports division focuses on youth league team and individual sports photography. Their training division focuses on half-day workshops for both adults and children and teaches participants more about photography and each workshop includes a fun photo safari.
