Five of Randy's eight images earned "Seals of Approval" which are comparable to receiving blue ribbons in the local state competition. A "Sealed Image" is often referred to as a "merit image," and will automatically be accepted into the PPA General Collection during the upcoming International Photographic Competition (IPC) in July. At that time, each of the five images, along with any others he submits, will also be judged by a panel of international judges to decide if they will be accepted into the PPA's traveling Loan Collection.
One of Randy's Sealed Images, titled "Glimpse of Evil" also earned a score of 97...the second highest score given in the entire competition that included close to 1,000 images. He was also honored by the American Society of Photographers with their District Award, as well as the PPA Northeast District Certified Professional Photographers Award for this print.
Since these five images will be advancing into the IPC next month, we unfortunately cannot display any of them at this time. But stay tuned, we're sure we'll have more merits and awards to report once IPC judging concludes and we will post all images then!
